Frank:
I built her some time ago on an old Lindberg hull; still have the 810, 811 and 812 in various stages of construction..

Very nice. I take it you used 1/32 scale fittings. Are these HR PRODUCT fittings? By the way, I meant to ask. Is that your boat on the cover of POST MAGAZINE with KENNEDY. Ok, so just send me the boat, then send me PT-809, and I will have Stan refurbish everything. I can get them back to you in 2030.

Will;
Nice use of the 1/64th scale model(the hatches give it away), but since the 809 was 98 feet this would be close as a 1/72nd scale boat.
Nice work!!
Take care,
TED

Very nice, Will. My dad was very much involved with design of this boat at Elco, and was the responsible engineer for construction when it was built in Groton. About 10 years ago I tried to track down the fate of the hull, an interesting story in itself, only to finally learn it had been cut up and hauled away from Little Creek for scrap.
