I have enclosed some new photo's that Stan sent to me on our PT-10
Scratch built project. The domes have been completed, although nothing has been done yet to the inside of the turrets. As you can see Stan has been working pretty hard to get those four torpedoes just right, and I must say they look Beautiful. As soon as I get the written information on how to build those turrets, I will post them.

WOW, the more I look at the photos, the wheelhouse and cabin are wild!
Must have been designed with aircraft in mind! After all PT flew through the water!
As a former Sea Scout on an AVR, the ASR-1357 one of the last production runs of this model, our wheel house was very basic with little flare. The early WWII models had extensive flare and rounded corners much like the PT's.
Seeing Stans and others modeling handiwork has me retrieving a model of the 1357 long buried in my attic.
Built back in the late 70's to a 1/16 scale from original blue prints, she's 47 inches long. I'll dig some original construction photos and current 'yard' photos.
I look to this site weekly but rarely post but have gained a ton of modeling
tips as well at PT history.
Keep up the great work!
v/r, Glenn

Glen

Thanks for the nice words about Stan's work. He is one of three friends that build for me, the other two being ALEX JOHNSON and FRANK RYCZEK. Stan lives much closer to me then do Alex and Frank, thus he builds the majority of my Exhibit models. We have done many projects together and have been friends for some time. Good luck on building this long put away project. It should be impressive when completed. Take care, and look for more PT-10 project photo's as Stan moves forward................

There are many fine modelers on this site; Stan certainly ranks right up there with the best...
