While not done to anywhere near the extent done on US PTs, the crews of some MAS 500 boats added some extra firepower to their boats. A Russian modeler on another site uploaded a series of shots of these boats while contributing to a discussion on a model being superdetailed by Alan MacNeilly, an English modeler. Here are a few of these photos:
At first glance, I thought they were Browning .50s, but a closer look showed some obvious differences. I haven't been able to find a confirming photo yet, but suspect they are BREDA 13.2mm Model 1931. If any of you guys are weapons specialists, I'd be interested in your take on this.

A German modeler cleared it up for me. It is a BREDA SAFAT 12.7MM.
