Hello PT Boaters!
I was given these photos from a friend of mine, and he found them in an antique store, I have no idea who these sailors are but Iknow they were in RON22 during their stay in Miami during PT Shakedown training. They were there with an Elco squadron as well and you can almost identify the Elco RON insignia on one of their boats. Take a look at these pics and let me know who they are if you know them? Jerry

RON22 GM2c who the photos probably belonged to

Another RON22 GM

Possibly a Boat Captain from RON22 PT Boat in Miami

Another RON22 PT Boat Captain in Miami

Our RON22 GM poses with buddy from Elco PT559 in Miami. Look at RON insignia on nearby boat what RON is that? 35? Maybe

Presumably two RON22 Officers in front of gunners shack in Miami

Jerry:
That is RON 29. PT 559, you can see the back of the seat for the Thunderbolt over the guys left shoulder. I can't see what is on the stern of the other boat, but that is the RON 29 insignia on the cockpit spray shield. the other elco in photo #10 might be PT 552 with the 20mm in a MK 10 on stern but I am not sure.
Take care

Jerry,

That Ron insignia in photo # 6, on the far left, looks like Ron 29 to me.

Thanks you guys! I still am trying to figure out what number Higgins boat that is from RON22? 302 through 314 I can see a "3" on the gun tub. Also I just noticed the GM2/c has the name "SOL" on his shirt just over his breast pocket. Does anybody know who SOL might be? Jerry
