I am searching for a picture of Lt. Edward G. Delong, skipper of PT 31.

Edward Grover DeLong

Edward Grover DeLong was born August 20, 1915, to Arthur E. and Sarah DeLong. Edward attended State College for a year before entering the Navy Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. After graduating, Edward entered active service in the U.S. Navy in 1937. Edward married Helen Ris on August 26, 1939, at Stanford University in California.

Alyce has the original. It was published in the PT Boat newsletter (summer edition) in 1981. I have a scan of it but I suspect you need a better quality copy. Let me know. Thanks, Mark

Victor;
I originally thought this was his graduation photo, as he is in a midshipman uniform. However, this photo maybe an earlier photo, as all the photos in the USNA Class of 1937 "LUCKY BAG" Yearbook, are taken in dress blue uniforms.
Also, Scott left off a forward slash in the short cut address.

Thank you all for the grduation picture of Delong which I finally able to
download. It will be great if I can get a picture of him taken in the Philipines .

Victor;
You will be the MacDaddy of PT Boat guys if you can find one o him in the P.I. It appears that there was 1-2 cameras in all of RON 3, during this time and I believe at least 1 was lost. Al and Mark have always been the best contacts for this RON.
