I remember when I had gotten the call that Building 21 was set on fire, and they would be demolishing it. It was a sad day to lose such a Historic landmark. To this day, I could never understand how the City of Bayonne and the owner of the building let it fall into such disrepair. I was not sure what was going to happen to the crane, so I took a ride out and snapped this photo. I had gotten there just in time to take perhaps the last photo of the crane as it stood during WWII. To me she still looked proud as if to say, send me more boats. The other shot is the crane lowering PT-131 into the basin.

The boat was with Ron 7 but was transferred to Ron 21 sometime in 1945, before meeting her end in Samar..................

Great photo Frank!
Yes Scott, she was in RON 7 then transferred to RON 21 in Feb 1945.
