COMPLETED GRASS SHACK HEADQUARTERS
I was at a loss for words when Frank Ryczek sent me the completed photo's of the building he scratch built for our PT-374 project. I wanted to post them here because I think you will be as impressed as I was with the quality of work done on this project. The inside is complete with benches, tables, base radio, maps, and other items. Check out the one photo showing the radio and clock. Thanks to Uncle Bill for taking the great photo's. Soon it will be shipped to Alex, along with another building Frank is working on. Thank you so much Frank for this wonderful gift to our Memorial project.

Ahoy there everyone-
This project was indeed a very special one for me. Like I have told my good buddy Frank Andruss, I never know "exactly" what will be the final look of any model I tackle. I just pleased as all get go that this piece came out like this.
I have already started on the engineering shack which will be the simple A-frame type structure that many of the larger structures on the islands in the South Pacific were made. This structure is by no means simple to contruct in 1/35th scale, but it's coming along nicely. I should have this one out the door in a the next few weeks at most. Watch this site for more reports and final shots of this structure as well.
To all of those who have comented on this project from the onset, thanks for all the kind words from all of you. It really does mean a lot to a modeler to have his work commented on- either good or bad. From what I have read, I'm guessing this one's a keeper!
