Early Higgins had somewhat of an open windshield on top of the chart house (Chun‘s book page 92). Later the windshield was formed to cover the top of the throttles and gauges (see

Does anyone know what boat number they started installing the covered windshields as shown in link above? I’m trying to find out the proper configuration for PT 215. Thank you, Mark.

Based on the original Higgins plans, the cover does not appear as a design feature until the PT 450 series. It's also a feature on the 625 series.
