Hello,
My name is Robet G. Stinnette, my fathers name is Macon L. Stinnette. He claims that he served on PT Boat 192, Squadron RON 12. There has been indicators that this may not be the truth, if there is anyone that can shed some light on this subject or direct me on how to find the truth, I would be most thankful. My e-mail is rstin@frontiernet.net.
Thank you.

Robert: I am mailing you a picture of the 192 crew. Although part of the caption is missing, it looks like the name of the man in the lower left ends in "ette", so it might well be your father.

One way is to check to see if the National Archives has the deck logs for the 192 and his name should be listed.

His name appears to be listed in the PT Boats, Inc. roster of PT Boaters.

The picture that you sent me definately bore witness to the fact that he indeed was where he said that he was. The person on the lower left in the picture is definately my father.
There is no way that I can express how happy and relieved that this information has made me, and as one vet to another thank you for being there in your time and thank you for responding to my plea.
