does anyone know of websites for crash boats? certainly there has to be something out there about these crsaft. any rons had crash boats in with them? or been apart of any seaplane bases? in the south pacific? any and all help is appreciated. thanks

Exactly what are you looking for? I have a lot of technical data on the crash boats but little operational material.

My father was on a crash boat stationed in the Philapines.
I several pictures of the boat and some of the crew along with there names. Let me know how to send them to you.

PT boat veteran Parker Miller served aboard Ron 1 PT 27 in the Aleutians.
I believe PT 27 was later converted at the Bremerton Shipyard into a crash boat that saw action in the South Pacific.
Parker and the crew of the boat participated in the Iwo Jima landings, where according to him they retrieved the bodies of dead Marines from the water and "stacked them like cordwood" on the deck of the former PT boat.

yes i have been to that site several times....problem is it deals with korea era boats. all p numbered....army boats. been in contact with them but no luck with ww2 era c numbered boats. will get those 2 pics to you shortly.
