This log refers to a PT Base Fold near the Russell Islands. Does anyone know where it is?

Nat;
I have always read/heard of the PT Base at M'banika Island referred to as SEARLESVILLE. ADM Halsey was even present at the official/unofficial naming of the base. A few weeks after it was named Ken Prescott was OOD and a PBY Catalina landed in the lagoon and a lone civilian jumped out on to the pier that led up to the Lever Brothers Plantation house(which was the "O" quarters and HQ. The civilian was James Forrestal, then Under Secretary of the Navy.
I was always told during this time period, temporary repairs were made by crew, but major work was done back at Tulagi. Foe instance, when PT 48 was damaged and needed work done on engines and hull it took John Iles alomst 10 hours to bring the boat back to Tulagi( a distance of around 90 miles).
Take care,
TED
