The PT boats and their crews were an integral part of the Alamo Scouts success in WWII. Of the 110Êverified missions behind enemy lines performed by the scouts in and around New Guinea and in the Philippine Islands, a known 36 missionsÊwere supported by the Mosquito Fleet. This does not include the numerous supply, resupply, and transport missions performed by PT boats. This web page identifies some of the PT boat crews that helped the Alamo Scouts on actual live missions and contributed to the units' extraordinary record of never having had a man killed or captured.

The Alamo Scouts Association is honored to include accounts from PT boat crewmen in an upcoming oral history entitled, "Silent No More."

Russ,
Nice job. Researching certainly takes time, and I am sure the book will be very enjoyable to all who purchase it. It is nice that you have chosen to include the PT BOATS and the men who were part of these important missions............

Thanks, Frank. Most of the credit goes to Lance Zedric for his tireless research for this book. Of Course he is the main author. I just make it look good. Though I have done some of the research. I spent many years looking for crewmen of the PT boat on my father's "Pegun Island" mission. It was only last year I found out what PT boats were used, and with the help from the ptboat.org website, I found one of the crewman. Talking with this gentleman made it all worthwhile.
