Hello, everyone. The following is from the War Diary of MTB RON 18. Looking to speak with vets out there who were on any of the boats. Enjoy!

Motor Torpedo Squadron 18 (War Diary – 20/21 September 1944) – “PT 364 and PTs 495 and 490 of Squadron THIRTY-THREE departed Morotai 1630/ 20 Sep to carry out a special Alamo Scout landing mission on Salebaboe Island in the Talaud Group. The scouts were successfully landed with no enemy sightings or contacts. The boats returned to the base at 1115/21 Sep.”

Motor Torpedo Squadron 18 (War Diary – 21/22 September 1944) – “PT 365 and PT 156 of Squadron NINE departed Morotai 1530/21 Sep on a special mission to Salebaboe Island in the Talaud Group to retrieve Alamo Scouts. They were successfully contacted at 2330/21 Sep. The boats returned to the base at 0630/22 Sep.”
