It has been a long time since I have had the chance to add a few new photos of our ongoing PT-374 Memorial Project. Alex Johnson continues to backdate our Italeri Kit so that it looks just like PT-374. With all of the wonderful parts that Frank Ryczek has put together, the last piece of the puzzle was shipping the large Diorama Base to Alex. Frank R. also made the water for our base, and as you can see from the photo's, it look wonderful. Alex sent me these quick layout shots, just to wet my appetite, so I thought you would all like to see them. Things are moving forward . . . . . . .

Hi guys-
Just wanted to say that the base and water techniques I used look even better with the PT in place. The backdating by Alex Johnson on the Italerie PT kit is incredable. We are heading towards the finish line with this project folks. Like everybody else who is waiting to see this massive project finished, it's sure going to be worth all the effort that went into this diorama. For me, it was a labor of love and overall historical pride!
I am very proud to have been on the model team for this project, thanks to my good buddy Frank Andruss. I'd also like to thank Alex and Stan Pienkowski for all their help as well. This diorama has award winning status written all over it and it's not even finished yet. WAY TO GO!!

I have gotten several E-Mails from people asking me if this is how the set up is going to be. Please note that Alex just plopped these items down on the base as to give me an idea on how things look. We will be changing things around many times before we are satisfied with the look of the Diorama. Remember, there are many Palm Trees, Land mass, and other items to be added, and no the dock is not going to be laying flat as you see it. The dock will be built up, and Pylons added. This will take on a differnt look as we move along...............

Frank;
That is really turning out to be a nice diorama! It sort of follows your FEMU diorama, except in this case its a pier. What Island is this supposed to be Green Island??

Ted
I was hoping to make this GREEN ISLAND as my friend Wallace "Mickey" McNeish was stationed there for a time. This could also take on a generic look and feel as well. I think the main theme will be the focus on PT-374 at the dock, and everything else will be icing on the cake. I reaklkly look forward to seeing how ALEX will be putting this all together. We are on the home stretch............
