I am the grandson of Fredrick Aurthur Stevens, he passd away before I was born, but I would like to know more about him. I have many, many pictuers of him in the service. He was apart of many RON's and I know he decommisioned RON 25. If anyone has any information about him I would love to hear from you.
If you or your family member was apart of RON 25 or knew him I would be more than happy to share theses photos as they are to say the least remarkable. My name is Pete Stevens and i myself am in the Navy as a Machinist Mate 1st class. My email adress is peter.b.stevens@navy.mil or navy1pete@hotmail.com
I hopfully look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Peter,
I hope somebody remembers him and is able to help you out. Would you mind posting some of your photos? That might help someone remember or get you some additional information. From a selfish point of view as a modeler I would love to see anything you have.
Take care
Dave

Greetings Peter, good to meet you. He's mentioned on this page:
http://www.ptboats.org/20-04-05-squadrons-006.html. Here's the mention:
MTB RON 25
Commissioned 17, June 1943 LT Daniel S. Baughman Jr. USN
Decommissioned 9, November 1945 LT Frederick A. Stevens Jr. USNR
PT 115, 134, 344-355
Southwest Pacific
Your grandfathers photos sound great! Check out the link at the top of this page, you can set up your own photo album as long as you can scan the photos in. Thank you in advance Peter, I'm looking forward to seeing them too.

Pete,
Welcome to the message board. The book At Close Quarters lists your grandfather as Squadron Commander of Ron 25 from 12-7-44 to 8-16-45.

Thank you all for the replies that i have recieved as of yet. I will be scanning in the pictures in later this evening. I do know this, that he was brought back to the states just before the end of the war to be a consultant for the movie "They Were Expendable" and I also have pictures of that as well.

Peter;
Welcome aboard!!!
While I don't know much about about RON 27, I have photos of 115 and 134 duing that time frame. What other squadrons, and boats was your Grandfather assigned to? I looked you up in Gobal, I am at Little Creek. Take care,
