These are three shots of the wonderful work that Frank R. has done with the donated WC-51 by Pete. I must say she is looking every bit the part for a South Pacific Vehicle. Should be an awesome addition to the PT-374 Project Diorama . . . .

Hello everybody-
I 've been having a lot of trouble taking clear, detailed shots of what I have been building for the Green Island Project. I sent Frank these shots last night. They are not bad, but they can be a clearer and better.
As you can see from these shots the vehicle is weathered and the wooden side stakes have been added. The weathering was done with powered pastel medium. I love working with the stuff and it's very forgiving. If you apply to much , simply wash it off and start again.
The one lone figure was drastically re-worked to match the original old photo of the WC-51 on Green Island. There will be eight more figures to all to this truck before I consider it finished.
Thanks to Dick, who enlarged the original shot, I need to add thejerry can racks on the passenger side running board.
Still alot of work to do on this model, but I'm loving it!
I hope to send Frank A. some inproved shots of the completed 40MM and the Willy's jeep. Watch the board for further updates and pictures.
Peter Tare the Builder will be sending me a lot of seated figures for this build. I'll try to replicate the shot the best of my ability. Thanks again Pete, for everything!

Thanks again Peter Tare the Builder for the WC-51 and the soon to arrive "seated" figures. This model donation plus the figures will add a dymanic focal point to the Green Island project.
One thing I forgot to mention, take a look at the front fenders. I very gently heated the fenders with a match then took a pair of rubber gripped pliers and "bent" them to replicate the original old photograph. I think it looks great!
What do you guys think of the build so far?
