Hello everybody-

I have received a model of a WC-51 ammo carrier from one of the modelers who frequents this message board from time to time. This model truck will be re-worked somewhat and used in the "Green Island -PT 374 Diorama Project".

I am going to try to depict a photograph which was sent to me by Frank Andruss showing a WC-51 with a crew of nine sailor's riding the ammo carrier.Perhaps Frank A. can post this picture for everyone to see so that you can get the general idea of just what I am planning to do with the model.

Here's where I need your help folks. I have a zillion figures in all scales and poses, BUT, I do not have any that are seated.

Can the modeler's out there who frequent this message board look through their spares part box and see if perhaps there is a seated figure or two that you no longer need. It doesn't matter if he German or GI folks. I'll grind off the uniform.

Perhaps you guys know supplier for "seated" figures? I wanted to go with the Airfix multi -pose figures BUT they are 1/32 scale and would throw the truck off scale.

It's a lot of work to convert a standing figure to a seated one! I would just rather have the seated figures than waste precious time trying to convert these figures to a seated position.

If any of you have any of these figures, please post your replies here and I'll get back with you ASAP.

There is a whole lot of work ahead for this diorama project. Alex Johnson is moving ahead very nicely on the PT 374 model. I have completed a Willy's jeep weathered out, and a 40 MM gun so far. Right now I'm churning out scale palm trees- 3 dozen more, for a total of 5 1/2 dozen trees. Each tree takes about two and half hours to produce right down to the scale coconuts.

Hopefully, I'll get some "good" pictures up on the message board so you guys can see the progress I'm moking. (I better get back to work because my boss is going to be reading this, ain't that right Frank A.?)

Thanks guys!

Ahoy Frank!

I've sent you an email regarding possible contribution of some figures.

Cheers from Peter

Pete
Thanks so much for your generous offer towards our project. The WC-51 was a wonderful addition to our plans and, after Frank works his magic on the piece should fit in nicely. I heard from Alex Johnson, who is moving forward on backdating the Italeri Kit to look just like PT-374. He should have photo's for us on Monday. Frank R. continues to impress me with his building and weathering of the different vehicles we will be using for this project. Don't let him kid you, I only crack the whip every now and then................

Hello Peter-

Thank you once again for making my job here at "DIORAMA CENTRAL" a heck of a lot easier with your donation of the seated figures. You have no idea how much time this will save me in the long run, and besides, that WC-51 ammo carrier is going to "POP" with all those seated figures attached. We can't have enough "eye candy" for this exciting build.

Frank A.-

How about posting that shot of the WC-51 so these guys know what I'm up to?

Thanks guys!

P.S.- Frank A. is the best "boss" and good friend I've ever had!
