I decided to celebrate the new year with our old friends in Australia. I purchased a bottle of Australian wine for that purpose. It is all over now. I can go to bed at my usual time tonight.

You can tell the professionals from the amateurs. Professionals leave Amateur Night to the amateurs and bunker down. You are very wise QM.

I hope you didn't lie to yourself with any resolutions.

New Years Eve, and here I am just me and the Wife. Chinease Food, TV, and Hanging around. Hey wait we do that all the time. That's ok, leave this night to the younger crowd. No driving on the road, too many nuts out there. HAPPY NEW YEAR............

Jeff D. I have not lied to myself about new year's resolutions. I can honestly say that I have never broken a new year's resolution. I will let you in on the secret. I have never made a new year's resolution. If you do not make them, you can not break them. In the 1930's when I was growing up such resolutions were not a tradition in my family. New year's day was just another working day for my father. If memory is correct, he worked even when January 1 was on a Sunday. The first was inventory day.

I must sign off now because it is nite nite time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE;;;
I recall very well New Years Eve. 65 years ago (1944) I became a married man. I was home on leave after riding Pt 242 for 15 months in the Solomons. A lot of water under the bridge since then.
