This is a HUGE thank you to all of the great friends, contacts and wonderful World War Two veterans I have met on the board. Thanks for all of the help on my upcoming book Chow Line and... Earl, you are one great guy!

The response was wonderful. The book contains memories about the best chow and worst chow during WWII, combined with ration history and development and even recipes from era books and military cookbooks. I could not have finished it and delivered it to my publisher without the help of veterans who were more than willing to share a chow story with me... good or bad.

And if you have a few minutes during the holiday weekend. Take a look at my trial book promo. We had a bad mic, but will redo the audio after the first of the year. Here is a link

Thanks for every ones help - Kent Whitaker

The Video was very good and I think what you have done should go over well with folks. The main thing is not the sale of the book, but the stories you have in it. Saving these works from the WWII VETERANS is highly important at this stage of the game. Good luck with the book. I hope it's a real hit.............

No matter how it does, I feel pretty darned good about it. I met some great people while working on it and hopefully the memories in the book saved a bit of culinary history in addition to their thoughts.

It was fun because I was able to interview some of my own relatives who served, my wife and I were able to visit some places they were, and our son who is in the Army helped out as well with some comparison info etc. In fact, he was the reason this book started.
