Hello everyone and Merry Christmas Greetings to one and all-
About a year ago I posted a message that I am looking for any information on my Uncle Theodore TEDDY RYCZEK. According to my Aunt , Uncle Teddy had something to do with PT BOATS, but she wasn't sure WHAT exactly. She said he may have had something to do with shipping them overseas.
Does the name TED RYCZEK ring a bell with anyone out there? If so PLEASE reply to this message. Thank you so very much!

I had checked my Elco Naval Division Employees Sheet, just to see if his name popped up. It was not on the list I had. The biggest problem trying to locate any of those workers from the PT BOAT plants, espcially Elco is that most of those guys were already in their early thirtees. Most are gone now, with only a select few still with us. I will check my other Elco records for you tonight.................

and Theodore J. Ryczek a gunner on a bomber in Europe, with crew photo here.

Hope this is some help.

Hey Gary-
Just a thought here, Gary. I went to high school with a Gary Paulson! Did you attend Woodbridge High school in New Jersey?
Thanks for the research Gary! Come to think of it, I do have relatives from Mass. There just might be a connection.
Believe it or not, Ryczek is a very common name- IN POLISH heritage! There are many variants to the name as well. Have tons of cousins in PA. that go by Ritzik, Ryzak and Reyzik just to name a few.
I'll have to do a lot of research to track my uncle down. He did serve in the Navy in WW II. I know I should have looked into this much sooner than in my 60's. When you're a kid you don't think of these things.
Thanks again-

Frank,
Sorry didn't go to school with you been a Cornhusker from Nebraska all my life. Did you think of checking with your Uncle Ted's hometown Legion or Vet's Clubs. They may have history on members. Just a thought.
