Hello Guys, here is the completed look at the Quonset Hut that Stan finished for the PT-374 project. I am sorry about the quality photographs. The Hut look much better in person, and after Alex gets done adding things aroung the hut, like grass, sand, Palm Trees, and other items, it should look awesome.

Frank;
It looks great! What does GSK stand for? The Truck looks good too. What would also look nice as a side scene is to add some kind of bulletin board out front and figures like some old Italieri USMC guys reading the latest dope from home in Stars and Stripes or a reduced in size Life Mag with Searles, Taylor and Nickoloric on the cover(Yeah I just thought of this while writing!)! Or even a mail call, Now that would be the S---!
Take care,
TED
P.S.Life Magazine May 10, 1943, Volume 14, No. 19, the date really doesn't matter as a family member might have sent it out in mail.

There is so much you can do, once Alex has all of the tools to put this Diorama together. I do like your idea and will forward it to Frank, who makes the figures. GSK is short for GENERAL STORE KEEPING. I will be posting a few more photos later today or Sunday. I am sure Stan will be most happy to know his Quonset Hut has made a hit...........

Got you covered for the figures Frank! Thanks Ted for the suggestion! I've already converted about 19 figures so far for the Green Island Project, so what's a few more!
As soon as I get my custom wood carvings done for my kids Christmas gifts behind me in a few more days, I'm jump on the diorama project once again. I've got a single 40 MM Bofor, a torpedo jitney truck, and a jeep plus 40 MM ammo to work on and those figures. Oh yeah I'm making the case and the water for this thing as well.
Frank A. wants top notch, well he's gonna get just that and MORE!! We have on hell of a modeling team and I'm glad to be on board. FULL STEAM AHEAD!!

Laughing Ted. No way will the fuel dump be that close to the Quonset Hut, just put it in there so the guys could check out some of the items going into the Diorama. KA BOOM...................

Hey Frank A.-
Man that quonset hut looks GREAT, as well as the other stuff to. I see you've got ol' "JOHN LATHE" going into the hut. Hey, why don't I just make a case for the top of your desk as well??
Got another carving behind me, one more to go!

You sure are one busy Elf this year. Looking forward to seeing the bulletin board and the other figures you have planned. Alex is busy sanding and filing managing to get plenty done this weekend. I have a feeling PT-374 will be on the assembly line very soon at Johnson Yacht Works........
