Kent, My dad, Ray Sparkman, was a skipper of PT-281 in RON23. Any chance you could send a copy of the diary my way? Thank you. Craig

I am sorry I took so long getting back to this thread. My grandfather did not remember much about him at all....but they were in the same picture of the crew i have now after he has passed.

A few days ago a new member ( Jeff H ) asked if I could recover a couple of photos from a previous post above. However, I found the Photobucket account where the photos were posted from wasn't our old one, but a separate private account. The post was about four years old and the poster hadn't been around for a while. I tried contacting him, and luckily got a response and a copy of the previous photos. They were of the crew of PT 282 - see below:

Thanks for taking time to contact Patrick and restore these pictures!! I need to try to figure out when and where these were taken. I know my uncle is in the first one but it would also be great to identify the other members of the crew. Nuge210 seems to have mentioned some info on other posts about RON 23 members, maybe he or some others can help fill in some of the blanks about the boats and men in RON 23. Enough rambling; again BIG THANKS Dick!!!
