OK...
Anyone want to weigh in on this "two men were crushed when a PT fell off a conveyor belt..." at the ELCO factory? Did this happen?
Frank?

I never have heard of anyone being killed at Elco. There were however several men that were injured during the time the PT boats were being made, but to my knowledge, none seriously. Elco took pride in its work safety program at the plant, but as I have learned, never say never. I will do more digging though...............

I had the chance to speak with my good friend Andy Shannahan last night. He has lived in Bayonne, New Jersey (behind the Elco Plant since 1942) and worked on the site at Electo Dynamics. He has never heard of anyone being killed at the plant, and certainly nothing about any haunting. He will however ask around to see if this accident ever took place (which he doubts). More later as I find out...........
