Looking for information on my uncle who served on PT boats in world war two. All I have is his name and that he died in service in WW 2 while manning a machine gun when his boat suffered a near hit by a Japanese float plane.

My mother has always spoken of him as being her favorite uncle and the most loved of 14 children in his family. It was because of my mothers stories and my Grandfathers (Sea-Bee) stories that I studied WW 2 history. I was hoping to find out more information but so few in the family ever knew much beyond what I posted here.

His name was James Harold Davison, S1c

I know it is a long shot, specially after so much time has passed but I have to try. Thank you.

To all those who have served, thank you.
