Hello guys, the Crane is coming along better then I could have hoped. Stan has outdone himself on this project, and the Crane house, Pully's, Motors, decking , and just about all of the rigging is complete. Today we made some of the dirt and rocks that made up the underneath of the Crane during the War, and painted that to the right color. Cradle is now hooked up into the A-Frame Supports and has been secured to the concrete roadway. By the way if you look close you can see the Elco Crane operator in the Crane house. Boat will be put together and painted soon, fencing will be constructed, concrete and dirt will be added, along with shipping crates, Elco Employees, and other items which will make up this Diorama. Hope you guys like it as much as I do.................

FRANK

He sure has a deft hand with a paintbrush Frank, it's really coming to life. Models look a lot better after applying years of wear and tear. Unlike people... except for maybe Clint Eastwood.

Stan called me. He wil begin working on the boat very soon. Elco had a fleet of vehicles that they used at the Elco site. Most were small cargo trucks, simular to the stake body trucks. I would like to include one in the Diorama, but have been on EBAY and other sites this morning and can't find one in 1/72 scale. The closest I come is some Russian WWII cargo truck. I am alomost tempted to have Stan build it. Do you modelers out there think anyone would notice it, painted up as an Elco Truck, or does anyone have any ideas as to where I might find one.

Frank;
I am at work, but what kind of trucks did ELCO use? Ford, Chevy, Studebaker?
Take care,
TED
