Greetings from Sardinia,

I am a freelance researcher who is completing an history project about the Allied naval operations at LA MADDALENA, SARDINIA, during late 1943-1944, and would like to contact PT Boats veterans or their relatives, whose Squadron operated there at that time who may be willing to help my history project with historical informations and photographs taken at that time on my island.
Since my work will include the "human side" and "social life" during their stay in Sardinia, I would be interested to include pictures relating to the surrounding areas, sardinian people and villages and similar images taken during the free time.

I thank you for your kind and invaluable cooperation.

Cordiali Saluti

Yours Sincerely

Alessandro Ragatzu

ALESSANDRO;
THERE WERE ONLY THREE AMERICAN SQUADRONS LISTED AS OPERATING IN THE MEDETERANIAN SEA DURING WORLD WAR TWO:
RON 15 ( 78' HIGGINS BOATS, PT 201 - 218)
RON 22 ( 78' HIGGINS BOATS, PT 302 - 313)
RON 29 ( 80' ELCO BOATS, PT 552 - 563)

PERHAPS, THIS INFORMATION WILL JOG A FEW MEMORIES AMONG THE CREWS, FAMILIES AND FRIENDS.
