Sadly, BJ is unlikely to ever produce a WWII 110' SC. I've been trying to get them to offer a GEARING for over a decade. Years ago, they did have a 1/48 kit of the SC1 series. Plans and parts still exist, as does the master hull. Not a bad little kit, but dated, as it is about as old as I am.

Hello ...
You can get it at most hobby shops that have the Squadron books. Or, you can get them from places like amazon.com, bn.com and the like, most online hobby places and from squadron.com or squadronsignal.com and you can still get my other books from PT BOATS, INC.

All,
I've just received my 25 gratis copies of the SC book and I must say, I am quite impressed with the quality of the product. The quality of the photos is really good.
I mentioned that because I, like the majority of you have had serious issues with the quality of the photos in the newer Squadron books of late, specifically those books by a Mr. Adcock.
Based on what I've seen in those books and from all of your comments about them - I was, understandably scared out of my ghord over this book. From what I've just seen in a completed product, I feel that, WITHOUT BEING CONTRADICTED, that you will not be disappointed.
This is NOT a Mr. Adcock book ............
I was impressed and I'm my own worse critic.

Thanks for taking the bait Al,
Too bad but understandable. I like the WWII version. Fine Art Models has produced a very nice model of this boat in 1/32 scale. You can have the last one in stock for a mere $7500. I can't imagine anyone other than BJ that could do this nice little boat justice in kit form.

Garth,
The book showed up yesterday and it is very nicely done and a great reference. I need to sit down and read through it. This would be a wonderful project in 1/72 scale or 1/35 scale. Maybe someday...

I got the new book in the mail this morning, and although it does not deal with my favorite subject, the PT BOATS. I found it to be very interesting reading. The photo's are wonderful and the color drawings are super. Much to take in, so I will need to go through it several times. From a Historical venue, the book teaches you everything you ever wanted to know about these Sub Chasers during the War. I recommend it to those who know little about this type service, and for those who do, no doubt you will enjoy its contents.......
