Stan carved one of the ornamental pieces, then made a cast to create the others................

The crane is coming along wonderfully as Stan put it together temporarily for these pictures. We finally agreed as to the Crane color. You will notice in one of the photos that Stan is painting the wooden decking which looks just like the original. Stan has also begun to work on the sheaves/Pulley's and should have the Crane together this coming week.

Hiya Frank A.-

Many thanks once again for posting the pictures of Stan's ELCO crane. It's fascinating to see it come together from start to finish! Very nice job!

Stan has made some really good strides on the Elco Crane project. I will be heading over his house on Sunday July 11th. From what he tells me the Crane has now been assembled and many of the sheaves/pully assemblies have been made. He might have already started to run the cable, so I am excited to see what he has completed. Of course I will be taking the camera to show you guys how she looks...............

Hello guys. The crane as you can see is coming along real well. Stan has done an outstanding job so far and I was happy to see the progress made. Paint looks great and pully's and sheves are starting to take shape.

Spoke with Stan today. At this point the Diorama base is just about completed with the dock edge and water layed down, along with the Concrete roadway. Some painting to be done on the base. The Crane is roughly 80% completed, with the electric motors and winches to be added, along with the Crae house. Stan has begun to put together the Elco Cradle. He will send me a few photo's when he can and I will post them for you guys to view.

I stopped at Stan's today and I must say the project has moved forward in leaps and bounds. I was so impressed with his work and how the Crane looks thus far. While I was there he put the two part epoxsy on the water and it looks fantastic. The cradle has been built and cable drums added. Sorry the photo's are not that great, but it will give you an idea on the wonderful work Stan has done thus far. I can't wait to add this to my Exhibit.

Frank

That is impressive Frank, my hat is off to Stans expert modeling skills. I love the realistic warps in the wharf pilings, and the water looks great. How tall does the display stand?

The Fredrich Wilhelm ZU Pferde left me speechless.
