Ok, so its a little sensationalist of a title. Mr. Michael Woods, who is a UK soldier, found my web page that discusses the "Dinah Might" name for PT171, and where its pinup girl "nose-art" came from. He thought it just right for his idea - he made a "PT171 Guitar" from the inspiration.

Photo's of Michaels PT-171 Guitar:

Hey Mike:

What a really cool thing to put on a guitar. Who would have thought that a simple decal used to adorn PT 171 would some 60 plus years later be used to adorn some man's personel instrument. I think many of the decals used to represent PT Squadrons could be used for many other decrative pieces. Imagine having something like that put onto personel luggage, backpacks, shirts, etc.. Glad to see that this guy contacted you. Speaking of images, I am in hopes that the Mosquito Fleet Emblem can find its way onto the collectible ZIPPO LIGHTERS. I think that would be just awesome.

FWIW, "Dinah Might" was also the name of a B-29 used in the Pacific War. I believe this plane was based on Saipan but I could be mistaken. I remember seeing footage of her while gathering footage at the National Archives for a video I produced for Boeing (my employer) commemorating the 50th anniversary of the B-29.
