Steve,
Do you have any information about my grandfather, William Olson. He served aboard many boats in RON 15 and commanded PT 214 for a while.

Hi Gunnar,
I believe you're Grandfather was the original boat Captain of the 204 during shakedown and the trip over to the Med. Soon after Ron 15's operations began in Tunisia, he is mentioned as the Exec Officer of the 203, during the rescue of a British MTB crew whose boat got stranded ( in 'At Close Quarters '). This must have been brief though. By June or July 1943, he was skipper of the 214, as you are aware. That is about all I know about him.
I have a copy of a photo of Bill, and it's not very clear. Do you have any pics ?

Steve,
Affirmative, I was the QM 3/c on the 302. Was a great tour of duty. They can send me back anytime.
I knew a Mr. Thomas Nugent from Cambridge, Mass. Any chance you are related ? A shot in the dark.
Go get 'em.

Arthur,
Sorry, not a relative that I know of. My parents grew up in Illinois, but moved to the Philadelphia,PA area in 1948-49. But I may be related to Ted....................
Best Regards,

Even though my focus is the Guadalcanal PT's, I'm also interested in the Mediterranean Theater. If there are any more stories out there, bring 'em on...I'd love to hear 'em.
All the best,

Gunnar,
I have a downloaded copy of
"A BIOGRAPHY OF MTB RON FIFTEEN" BY LCDR FREDERICK W. ROSEN.
If you want I could email it to you, but I dont have your email address. You can see my email address by clicking on the "View Profile" button above this message. If you can, send me an email and I will send you a copy of this 31 page article. It mentions ENS OLSON several times. Jerry
