I need some help identifying a memento that belonged to Ed Kruse, skipper of PT 163. It looks to me like something his crew might have made for him as a gift or rememberance. The stand looks theater made. It stands 3.25 high, and the dome is 2 in diameter. I thought it might be a decorative center cover for the wheel, but I have't seen anything like that in photos.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I believe it is pee coat cuff link. It is designed to be long enough to go through a folded double cuff on WWII issue pee coats. My father also had 2 of these

Could it be a tie clip?

Thanks for your suggestions. It really looks too big to be either a cuff link or a tie clip. The dome is 2 inches in diameter and is almost 1 inch deep. The stem is about 3-4 inches tall.

Pea Coat cuff link? Pea coats don't have cuffs. Don't even have buttons on the sleeve. I'd be interested in what kind of Pea Coat that is.
