This is a test to verify that images can be inserted directly from a personal website without using PhotoBucket. No response is expected, thanks.

You can include an image in a posting if somewhere accessable to the Internet the image exists in proper size and format. The Internet doesn't know or care where it is coming from. PhotoBucket is acceptable and has been set up to file your images as a default means. However if you can point to an image between , it will be accessed and included. The trick is that the image must be already on the Internet. All images in my web site www.rpickett.com have the protocol http://www.........Therefore they can be referenced in the image statement of a post and there it is. Dick is aware of this and can advise you. I also am an OLD computer engineer and will be glad to help.

OK. First, the image must be somewhere on a web site on the Internet, not just in your computer. That's what PhotoBucket provides. If the image is on any web it likely has a web address in the format http://www.... You need to insert that address and the Internet will find it. Any web site that lets you upload pictures to it will likely do. This is not a better way to do this, it is just an alternative for those who have pictures on a web. I can add a picture by typing the image protocol line including the address of the picture (can't actually type it here or the Internet will search for a picture).
For me it is the easy way since most all my pictures have an Internet address. In a couple seconds I can add
