These are old and were given to me by the widow of GM/3c Roland Masse. He served on PT 191, Ron 12.
Enjoy,

Frank;
Just looking at these I find it interesting that the depression rails for the gun tubs are removed. I know RON 12 boats utilized the 20mm and the MK 12 scarf ring mounts instead of .50's when first sent to New Guinea, but I thought it was only the forward mount not both. ADM Harlee sure wanted the most punch for his boys. RON 12 was the first to get 40mm's too. A closer look at the one photo, PT 191 RON 12 1945 Mr. Inman D.C. Lund Roland Masse and George Pond, is that a .30 cal on a shortened tripod mounted on top of the aft portion of the dayroom? It appears to be slightly forward of the aft port gun tub.
Take care,
TED

Ted,
No. Mr. Clark once told me that they did that to give that gunner better field of fire to port.
He commented that he was so precise that he could fire just inches above Mr. Clark's head.

Fascinating photos Frank -- some interesting detail points. Thanks for posting them.
Notice that while "Bambi" wears modified-paint scheme numbers, the 196 appears to have retained her white numbers, at least on the port cockpit splash shield.

Sorry Guys
I just realized that in photo #4, that the image is reversed. It must have been developed that way. The names which I put left to right, must now be read right to left in order to get the names of the Crew correctly. Too bad I did not notice that before posting.... Sorry.....
