To Frank J.Andruss Sr.
Hi, Frank I wondered if Jonnyblue ever sent you his copy of Kellys Offical Report of the loss of the 34 Boat as I am researching its exact location for a possible trip next year. Anything you have along these lines re. Ron 3 boats and there possible final resting places would be greatly appreciated.
Yours D.B.

The action reports I have on the 34 only state that she was beached, burning, on Cauit (also spelled Kawit) Island. My Dad was the quartermaster at the time.

Hi Russell, Sorry to say i was born in 1956 and in Australia so a little bit away from the PT story. However my Father served in the New Guinea campain and had seen the PT Boats at some stage. When I was 18 "They Were Expendable" was aired on our local T.V. Channel something clicked with him and he said to me I want you to watch this and afterward we sat and talked of this for some time, needless to say I was hooked on The Boats from that time on.
After researching a lot of infomation I chose to aim at Ron 3 and in particular LT. Kelly of PT 34 as the PT Boat website did not have Ron 3's pendant for an ID, Ron 9s with Kellys Kids was my next choice.
Hi Al, Thanks for the reply i contacted Frank to try and find any form of official loss report of the Ron three boats and after one reply my computer refuses to email to his address, so Frank if it appeared as if i was ignoreing you my apologies .
I have arranged a trip to the Philippines this year to search for PT 31 and PT 33 and all going well next year will arrange a second trip to search for PT 34 and PT 41. However looking at a saterlite photo of were the PT34 went down there has been some form of artificial harbour / economic zone build ( read filled in with concrete ) .
This may make finding the PT 34 a little hard if she is under a large amount of concrete, however all is not lost as Cauit Island appears to be the furthest north they have filled in and by all reports PT 34 went down north of the island. But thats why i am going ,to see what i can see as they say.
Any information you may be able to help with Official or not would be greatly apperciated.
Yours D.B.
