HI TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES.

PT 48 WILL BE ON THE MOVE ANY SECOND. BY WEDNESDAY IT IS EXPECTED TO PASS INTO GEORGIA. ED PERRIN OF "GLOBAL YACHT HAULING" WILL BE TRYING TO COVER AS MUCH DAYLIGHT DISTANCE AS POSSIBLE ,EVERY DAY UNTIL IT ARRIVES IN KINGSTON N.Y..

THE FIRST LEG OF THE TRIP WILL BE ON I-75 AT LEAST AS FARE AS KENTUCKY. OCCASIONALLY LOOPING OFF THE MAIN ROUTE TO BY PASS CITIES.

TRAVEL IS EXPECTED TO TAKE 6 DAYS. WE WILL POST NEW INFO AS IT COMES IN. THE BOAT WILL BE WRAPPED IN WHITE PLASTIC BEING HAULED BY A BLUE TRACTOR AND THREE AXEL TRAILER. A SIGN WITH ITS DESCRIPTION WILL BE ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE BOAT. REMEMBER IT IS JUST A HULL AND WILL NOT HAVE ANY DECK FEATURES'

THANKS.

http://www.pt728.com/index.html

Click on the PT 48 Rescue tab, there are 4 pages of photos and a short account of the job.

TED WALTHER also deserves much credit for his years of devotion to this boat, he was very instrumental in bringing Flee Obsolete and PT 48 together. efforts in saving this boat.

Ted will also be taking over as 48's historian in the near future.....welcome aboard!

Congrats to all of you for the fine team effort in getting the boat on the trailer. How exciting this is for those of us who have devoted our very lifes to the mission statement of keeping the boats in the public eye. Ted, this is a dream come true for you. You can tell how excited you are, and becoming the Historican for the group is a perfect fit got you. Tom, great work.

Please keep us posted on the boat's projected route!

I assume that going through Kentucky means the boat will come up I-81...which goes within two miles of my house! I will of course go to any location that you would stop at in the PA/MD area.

My email is stanton@sutv.zzn.com - I would happily share my cell phone number as well. I would get video and still pictures!

Again congratulations on your newest endevor! I have no doubt that you'll also rebuild the 1357 and we'll see her cruise again!
I look foward to visiting this summer!

Glenn

PS I sent a power point of the 1357 via e-mail, if you didn't recieve, let me know and I'll send snail mail.
