Gustavo;
I did most of the dioramas(20 in all originally) in that museum back in 1991-1992(however, the PT 117 model is not mine and is a recent addition). My seadaddy Jim Watson was the curator at the time, now he is curator emeritus. CAPT Mike Howard, if you met him, was my Commodore at Boat Squadron Two. Glad you enjoyed your visit.
Take care,
TED

Nice to meet you Ted

You did an amazing job with all of these scales models ( I guess all in Scratchbuild ) I took another pics of them but unfortunatley with poor quality.
I'm a Navy Seal fan so I enjoy ALL the museum unfortunatley I didn't meet Jim Watson , a "plankowner" of Seal Team 2.
Thanks

Gustavo;
Some were scratchbuilt, like my Kayak. STAB-1, MSSC. FAV, SDV, (also my Stingray and My Apollo 13 which they sent back recently because they were damaged, others just have not survived periodic moving around and the high volume of vistors, etc) and my D-Day 3 part diorama. but most were highly modified, like my LCPL, HSB, my Seawolf Huey, my Panama one and the ones with the PBR and LSSC's. My suggestion to you is not to miss the November Muster, usually the second weekend.
Again take care,
TED

Hey Frank,

There's your shirtless crew members! That's an excellent model of the 117, but she needs a high rear cockpit armor bulkhead & wing to be 100%. Also, that "117" on the port turret tub and the white & orange life ring on the port cockpit splash shield are a little odd. I shouldn't nitpick -- it's better than I could ever do!

My brother lived in Port St. Lucie for several years (some years ago), and I visited the UDT/SEAL Museum a couple of times.

No wonder the model work in the museum was so good -- Ted made most of them!

Drew;
Thanks for the compliment. I have not been down there in a few years, but as of 2001, all the dioramas in the museum where mine except three, 1/35th scale. I will try to get down there for the November Muster, I think this is going to be a key year. If your still in the area drop me your address on my e-mail link and we will hook up if my schedule permits it.
Take care,
TED
