Greetings,
I thought I would share photos of the Elco PT Boat cradle I've been working on. This is 1/72, unpainted and I still need to do a little more detail work. The wood supports are roughed out and I'll be adding white plastic on the tops to represent the padded portion. You can see a couple of the supports in the last picture. They are made from basswood.
I assembled this from plans I purchased from PT Boats Inc., the work Pat did on his boat cradle, and photos that I received from several people here. I think the 109 boat will look great sitting on this cradle.

I think it came out just great. With a little paint and the boat on top, it will look Beautiful. The photos really helped. Thanks for sharing..........

David;
It looks great, I am building one too for my PT 48 model, 1/32nd scale. I have also built a floating drydock, with a model of PT 60 in it, 1/72nd scale, but My mothers cat destroyed it about 12 years ago with the rest of my Tulagi diorama, but I did take photos. I am now thinking about a 1/32nd scale drydock with a RON 3(2) boat in it.
Take care,
TED
