Charlie;
What did they do take the photo when the class began? I always thought they took these photos, after graduation. Well I learned something new. Thanks the photo is great, I have another which is taken indoors in front of a mural of PT 41.

I think they took the picture early on...the 7th Class picture is labelled Oct 1942, which is when they started. The letter identifying assignments/drops is dated Nov 5, the halfway point of their course.
I've seen the inside pictures too (I think there was one in the latest PT BOATS, Inc. Newsletter. The mural was in the PT Auditorium, one of the big warehouses along the waterfront. Reason why it was done inside? Who knows, maybe it was raining when they were going to take the picture. I think I've only seen a couple of inside pictures (maybe they were the same ones?) Most of them have been the outside pictures.

Do you have a picture of the 6th class. One that started Sept 1? It should have my father in it.

No, Sorry, I don't. I'm looking through some files at the archives, maybe I'll see a list.
I don't know if anyone has a collection of those Officer class photos. I know PT Boats has some but didn't go through them.
