Cool, thanks Dick. I found a depression on the side of my KB but it looks like the button fell off. All this time I've been hitting the five key twice, I guess I'll have to break down and buy a new one.

And thank you too Jerry for clearing up the 55 gallon jerry can issue. That was another head-scratcher for me.

Hi guys.

I used Squadron White Putty to fill in the grooves on the lifejackets worn by the 1/32 scale Lindberg PT crewmen. I a also lengthened them slightly. Since I will be using new arms, heads, helmets and quite posible lower torsos with shorts scavanged from other figures there is not much left on these figures that is original.

I was at the hobby shop the other day to get more Squadron White Putty but the no longer cary it. Pity that. I bought Tamiya putty instead.

For individual lifejackets stowed on the other boat I am building I decided to make my own using that wonderful stuf Milliput. I have not seen Milliput here for years and had clean forgotten about it.

This is getting to be like modelling in the good old days when if you wanted extra accessories on a model you *HAD* to scratch-build your own. Oh wait! The 1/32 scale Lindberg PT-109 (ha, ha, ha) kit *IS* from those good old days. Well at least you get some figures to use or convert to better representations of WW2 era PT-boat crewmen.

I really like the look of action you get if you put a Lindberg .50 caliber gunner as the gunner of the 20mm. It then looks as if the gunner is trying to down a low-flying aircfraft.

Cheers from PeterTareBuilder

Hi
Yeh the stuff from U-models is nice . The casting is crisp & clean.
I used the 1st set they done for my PT174 Zebra striped. I have also used a couple of there figures on my boat.
The only problem that I can see with this newer release is that it's mostly cast as 1 large piece. I'd rather it was 2 or even 3 pieces so as to give you more flexibility over what you do with it.
As for the Flag issue I would paint it either as a piece of cloth or a captured enemy flag.
