Gents;
There is one on E-bay right now. I have never seen this model before, is it as good as the Italeri? Did they sell out to Italeri?
Info please?

I had seen one of those Kits a while ago, but if not mistaken it is resin model, which I would think would be much tougher to build..............

Hi Ted, I just looked at the kit and Frank is right. This is a resin kit which would be a real pain to build, more of a pain to paint and almost impossible to repair. However, I'm sure Frankie would love for you to build it and send it to him in that Black and White design. He really needs one like that right in the middle of his living room. It would look just like what he sees outside his window after a nice winter snow storm.
Did you ever get the e-mail I sent you?

I will shoot the first person that tries to send me a Zebra Boat ( kidding of course) but I know most of you know how I feel about that horrible design. Now Roy, if you want to send me your old PT BOAT as donation, I would be more than happy to have her brought to the Elco Yard for repair and overhaul. NO FLAGS, NO ENGINES for you either....................

Just an idle question, Frankie... Does your wife know about the monkey in the basement yet?

Ted,
Run, run, run away FAST!!! This kit would be nowhere near the quality of the Italeri series. Years ago, I bought (sight unseen) a 1/35 Brown Water Navy Monitor kit they did. What a dud. All of the cast metal parts were covered in flash, placed loose in a bag all together, so the gun barrels were all bent, etc. The resin cast pieces were a nightmare as well. Probably the biggest kit disappointment I've ever endured. It eventually got pitched. $100+ that I'd sure like to have had back.
If this was a free kit and you only had to pay shipping...you'd be getting ripped off.

Thanks for the serious heads up!!! But I was just asking, out of pure interest. I am fully content with the Italeri kits.
Take care,

Ted,
I just had a look at it on ebay. I also have never heard of it before. That's a big chunk of resin! Dragging the cursor over the model and zooming it the quality is nowhere near the Italeri kit. The price for that much resin isn't bad but you would expect a higher detail quality. You're much better off with the Italeri kit.

Will, let's keep it on the QT about the Monkey. I almost have him trained so that he will wear a Kapok and Helmet. I may use him for my weekend shows................
