[StartQuote] A question for the Vets among us: Can anyone tell me the proper sequence in lining up the following ribbons on a ribbon bar: Good Conduct, Asiatic-Pacific, American Campaign, WW II Victory, and American Defense? Also, can you tell me what position an ensign or LT (jg) would be serving in when he is making the entries in the deck log on a gunboat such as the USS Tulsa or USS Hilo during WW II? Was he the Officer of the Deck? Or some other position? There were several LT' (jg)'s making the entries but each was signing on for the duration of a particular watch. Would there have been another officer between those LT's and the Captain of the ship, in this case a Lt Cmdr.? Thnaks fellas. Allan [EndQuote]
