[StartQuote] Dear Message Board: My good friend, Alex Johnson, who built PT 41 for my Exhibit will once again be building me another boat. This time it will be Italeri's 1/35 scale boat done to look like PT 374 from Squadron 27. It will be built in honor of my dear friend Wallace McNesih, who was that boats chief Gunners Mate for over three years. Wallace is now 85 years of age, and owns a small apple farm about 20 minutes from where I live. Although slowing down, I think he could still outwork most 25 years olds. I want to surprise him in having the boat built. I already contacted Will Day, who has nothing on PT 374, so I am asking you good folks out there to send me what photo's you might have on PT 374. If you know what pattern of cammo she had, please let me know, so I can tell Alex on just how to paint her up. I have about 12 photo's given to me by Wallace, which show some of the topsides of the boat, so those wil help some. I know the only thing this boat had added was a twin 30 caiber machine gun set up on a pipe, and a mortar on the Bow. Any help from you guys would be really helpful. Maybe you guys have photo's of PT 375, 373, or another Ron 27 Boat durng that time frame of 1942-1944............. [EndQuote]
