[StartQuote] Special thanks to Jim Sanders whose Father Jim served on PT-518 (Ron 35) as a Radioman. He sent me two of his Fathers water colors that he did while at Base 17. These two water colors were rolled up in a tube he sent home in 1944. Many of the water colors he did were done for Commander Biff Bowling, and traveled to many islands in the Philippines doing various paintings. Today I took out the water colors from the tube and placed them into frames. It was the first time since 1944 that they were removed from the tube. It was very difficult to get them into the frame as they wanted to remain into their rolled position. They are still brilliant in color and a wonderful piece of PT HISTORY.
