[StartQuote] I was very excited and happy to receive this original Elco pair of coveralls and items that went with it from an estate sale that I hooked up with last week. These items belonged to John Everton who worked at Elco from 1943 until the doors closed in 1949. His employee number on the Elco ID is 9335 and he worked as part of the installation crew. As part of the sale came his Cap, Elco ID, Pencil sets, Elco Victory pin, and a pocket notebook that still have a few entries inside. I am still waiting on his wallet and 1 pair of glasses that came with this. I was also sent this photo that shows him standing on the boat during assembly working with the gasoline tank installation crew. He is on the far right. To say my heart is still pounding is an understatement. I was both blessed and lucky to have been the high bidder. Oh how I just love Elco artifacts....
