It looks like the aft pull boxes were moved from the false deck to the back of the day cabin sometime between PTs 588 and 593. The bridge boxes were located on the port side of the bridge, just forward of the aft armor plate. PT 588 with the boxes on the false deck, on a slightly raised platform:
