Ted had a close look at the period pic in question and he came to the conclusion the boat is not PT 515 but PT 516 instead. This makes sense because James Mountcastle, the executive officer of Ron 35, and the commander of PT 516 had probably been ordered to transport the commanding officer's jeep to the new command post. This was probably the Jeep in question :
