[StartQuote] Fair winds to Earle, my good email friend. I meet Earle Palmer Brown back in 1995 when he visited my first PT boat site “Knights of the Sea” back at the old free pages of “Geocities”. He emailed me to thank me for creating the site. From that point on we kept in touch as casual email buddies, specially when I want some info or clarification. During this period he served as President of the Peter Tare group and while there he had the petertare.com website created. From time to time he would snail-mail me stories such as “Along with Cousin Sam, Major J.H. Throsby A.I.F.”, “Out of the Area by E.P.Brown” “The Aleutians” and “An American Hero Remembered” about Lenny Thom, These were real old re-xeroxes of xeroxes, of xeroxed documents. Knowing he desire content for the new website, we (well mainly my wife Mary Ann when she wasn’t busy typesetting) re- typed these in a digital format so he could post them on the groups website. If you haven’t been to the website check it out, there is some interesting reading about: http://www.petertare.org Below is a photo of the large print he sent to me, of PT 122 that he had commissioned and then printed, he was very proud of it. All the very best to his family, Dick . . .
