[StartQuote] Hello, Just thought I would throw this in the mix. I am building PT195 as of 1944 at Leyte. The build is to feature the quad .50 mount on the foredeck, TOODLES artwork and the US stars. It will be a waterline and a small dio with figures, washing lines, paint buckets etc. etc. Trouble is I can't identify the complete camo scheme from the photos I have, so would like to know what the opinion is of the experts and historians amongst you as to what the most likely camouflage scheme was in this configuration. As I want to fit the .50 quad and old style tube pads plus the rolloff racks, I am favouring soft edged 31/5P on the hull only. Photos at this time show a plain colour above deck but other photos taken at the same time showing the hull do not carry enough definition to identify any contrasting camo colour. I feel sure that any hard edged green would be visible. If I can nail a later scheme which has the tube pads removed and 40mm ammo can racks fitted then I could go with that. I have some later photos showing the day cabin which has a dark contrasting camo and maybe deck green roof. Not ready for paint yet but it would help if I had a sheme nailed down. Thanks if you can help. Best Regards, Stu. [EndQuote]
