[StartQuote] Frank; Most of the RON 22 boats had portholes under each .50 cal turret and one each side in enginroom area. PT 308 is the only exception to this, she had two additional portholes in the engineroom area(On another note, she (308) seems to be the only boat, I have found in RON 22 that retained her 1/4inch armor plating for her entire life. The plates were still there, when she was broken up in Delaware. This was located Port and Starboard side of the fuel tank compartment. They were attached with carriage bolts).
