She is really set up for depth charges, which leads me to believe they would be used for sub chaser duty. I often wonder why very little consideration was given to protect those in the helm area of the boats, with an enclosed bridge. I know the earlier Elco boats had duplicate set ups, so that you could pilot the boat in stormy weather from below, but even the later boats offered no real protection from the elements. [EndQuote]
